Big Stuff Red is a mostly estate-grown semi-dry, fruit-forward red wine that should be served chilled. Yes, aficionados raise their eyebrows when we tell them to chill a red wine, but because Big Stuff Red is a semi-dry, its extraordinary fruit character and complex, but beautifully balanced flavors are only enhanced with chilling.
Named for our son, Mills, Big Stuff is a nickname he earned early on — he was born 8 weeks ahead of schedule — and at 6′ 2″ shoulders well still. Visitors to the vineyard are often greeted by his warm, engaging personality and charmed by his sincere interest in sharing his world with them. These days you’ll find him behind the tasting room bar, pouring wine and entertaining visitors with interesting and enlightening stories. Currently the company’s COO, he is destined to become the vineyard’s second generation owner and winemaker. With a cult-like following, Big Stuff Red is our best-selling and most popular wine.
