Food Pairings
Wine at its heart is meant for food, plain and simple. And for us, that’s much of what makes wine so interesting. The experimenting with flavors, textures and aromas of food and the individual character of a particular wine is an unending journey of discovery; ever changing, ever new.
Below we offer recommendations for pairing foods and flavors with our wines, but more than that we encourage you to use these insights as inspiration for your own journey of discovery.

Field 3
Field 3’s beautifully balanced structure, rich fruit character and ample tanin provide the kind of substance a wine needs to pair with red meat. That’s the classic steak and red wine pairing, but it isn’t the only way to enjoy Field 3 with food. This wine’s rich berry notes make it a lovely pairing with herbed potato croquettes, tenderloin in wine sauce, hearty pasta like Rigatoni Bolognese and dark chocolate everything.
Uplands Reserve
Mushrooms and robust cheeses simply pine for the earthy, nutty softness of Uplands Reserve. Similar in character to a lightly oaked Pinot Noir, Uplands reserve pairs well with Beef Stroganoff, hot, stuffed mushrooms, Stilton cheese, wild rice and turkey, baked pork chops, Parmesan Crusted Potatoes, creamy Mushroom Soup and fresh, crusty bread.
PureBred Red
There is so much jammy, juicy, luscious grape character to play with in pairing PureBred Red that the food options are nearly limitless. Lasagna, Beef & Chorizo Chili and most any red-sauce pasta, barbecued chicken and grilled tuna will all pair beautifully with PureBred Red’s powerful presence.
Big Stuff Red
Walnut, Bleu Cheese and Pear Salad, a Reuben Sandwich or a classic, French Dip and anything off the grill from veggies to wings will pair seamlessly with Big Stuff Red. This semi-dry red is meant to be served chilled, making is a summer red-wine staple, but it’s also an easy companion with popcorn by the fire on a chilly autumn evening.
Badger Blush
Tailgate parties, neighborhood gatherings, summer evenings under the stars; there isn’t an festive occasion that doesn’t love Badger Blush. Baked Brie With Almonds, Marinated Chicken Wings, nachos, tacos, chips ‘n salsa and finger food galore; if it dips, drips or fits in a picnic basket, Badger Blush is its true, one-and-only soulmate.
